Why It's Fun
It turns auctions into a spatial risk/reward game instead of a pure menu. The player has to decide which lots are worth chasing, when to overbid, and whether to safely deliver a won item or squeeze in one more bid.
Tension Layer
Won lots are vulnerable: each rival has their own colored delivery vault, and AI bidders must physically pick up won auctions and haul them there. The player can shove NPC rivals to briefly stun them, knock carried prizes loose, or steal loose rival-won items. It is deliberately not instant theft; the danger comes from the chase between win and delivery.
